Understanding Direct Mail Lists

Any direct mailing campaign will need to have well managed direct mail lists. Without good  direct mail lists , no direct mailing venture could ever hope to generate acceptable amounts of positive returns. As the article implies, managing lists is key to the success of any direct mail campaign.  Information for these lists could be gathered by the mailers themselves, or bought from a third party. The latter option seems to be the most popular way of doing this these days. Both information gathering methods have their own plusses and minuses, and any prospective direct mailers should keep these in mind. Just remember to understand your market first!
