MCDP Certification.

My goal is to obtain an Enterprise Applications Developer certification. As per the MS website, I must initially obtain .NET Framework 2.0 Web Applications, .NET Framework 2.0 Windows Applications, and.NET Framework 2.0 Distributed Applications. Is this exam good for a certain amount of time to be used as a prerequisite for a different certification?
